BASIC INFO/PERMISSIONS

Name: Danse (no surname)
Age: ??? (acts/appears mid-late 30s)
Canon: Fallout 4
Occupation: Ex-Paladin, Brotherhood of Steel East Coast

Personality: Danse is a stern, serious man who eats, breathes, sleeps, and bleeds loyalty and duty. The East Coast Brotherhood is far more concerned about the welfare of common people, so Danse cares deeply about protecting and assisting civilians and eliminating threats to the Commonwealth. A career soldier, he is an excellent fighter and specializes in laser weapons and power armor. He usually speaks in military parlance, complete with bizarrely technical words and phrases that make him sound hilariously uptight. He does let this lapse occasionally, but even when he does he sounds painfully earnest and formal.

Spending most of his life in the Brotherhood means he has conditioned himself to carefully control his reactions and emotions. This unfortunately leads him to steamroll over his own feelings for the sake of the cause. He struggles with PTSD from the traumatic deaths of many of his colleagues and friends, but won't allow himself to acknowledge this or deal with it in a healthy way, covering up any doubts and weaknesses with further devotion to the Brotherhood.

Danse cares about protecting others and will always put himself in danger for an innocent. He also unfortunately starts off as something of a bigot. His experiences and the Brotherhood's credo have given him a strong distaste for non-humans. He absolutely hates mutants and loathes the very idea of synths.

It is a massive blow to him when information is uncovered that proves he is himself a synth (designation M7-97.) All at once, his entire identity, history, and memories are called into question, and the Brotherhood that he's dedicated his entire life to rejects him and orders his execution. With the Brotherhood's cause the only thing he has left, he accepts death as the only righteous path for him.

If the player character convinces him to live and spares him, he goes into exile. He continues to fight for good at the player's side, but still struggles to balance what he's believed his entire life with his nature. He's not a human at all, and doesn't know for sure if he ever was. Though he relaxes his hatred and becomes more openminded towards nonhumans, he still clings hard to the Brotherhood, positioning their cause over his own personal worth even after all they've done. It will likely take him some time to come to terms with all of this and find any kind of peace.

Prefs: Open to gen, M/F, M/M. Canonmates and crosscanon both welcome. 18+ for any sort of shipping, the closer to his age the better (or he will just slip into protective mode.)

Yes, he is always that uptight.
